Bloggy Carnival Giveaway Day 4

Wednesday, July 30, 2008

***COMMENTS NOW CLOSED**** Today I'm getting right to the point (my mom is coming in town and my housekeeping standards have slipped this week, not sure why...).

Please check out my other four giveaways. All are open until Friday. I will have another (different) glass pendant for tomorrow. Day 1. Day 2. Day 3.
Day 5.

Back to today: I love to read. Usually I'm at home, but there's something about going somewhere else to read, like the beach or a coffee house, that I really enjoy. So I'm giving one winner a $10 Starbucks card and a $10 Barnes and Noble card.

To enter:
1. Leave a comment on this post and tell me what you have planned for the weekend - required.

2. I MUST have a way to get in touch with you! NoReply@Blogger will not send you a response. I will have to delete comments with no contact info.

3. Comments will close on Friday, August 1st at 11:59pm CA time.

4. I will use random.org to draw the winner and post the results/notify winner via email and in a "Winners" post on Saturday 8/2.

5. You don't need a blog to win, but I MUST have a way to contact you. US residents only (sorry!)

Thanks again for coming! Be sure to keep checking the Bloggy Carnival Giveaway hub for more great prizes. I popped in before posting and there were 960+ giveaways. 1,000 should be no problem. Have fun!

  6. Oh well I actually have something fun planned this weekend! There is a vineyard not far from our home, a 30 minute beautiful drive through hilly Virginia, and they are having their annual Blackberry Days festival this weekend. We will go with the entire family (kids ages 7,6,4 and 1) and have a picnic, listen to the bands, taste some wine and pick some blackberries. I can't wait!

  7. This weekend I'll be working. Technically today and tomorrow are my "weekend" and I used them to clean and do my biweekly costco shopping trip. Not very exciting. I had hoped to sit out by the pool but it's raining.

Starbucks would certainly improve my working weekend quite a bit. Hope your weekend is better than mine!

  29. This weekend is a festival of a great many things. You might be sorry you asked!

Friday-- the first day of the weekend, yes? :) I plan on picking my 4 month old car up from the shop, again, as it was weedeated about a month ago, one of the windows were blown out and it was pock marked from gravel from front to back. The window was replaced, but the paint needed repaired. It was repaired, with a hefty amount of dirt tossed in just for fun. So that, and a few damage smoodges that I didn't have on it prior to dropping it off, landed it back into the body shop for repair-- again. Should I mention that my daughter and I were in an accident in March, where a waterproofing truck loaded down with bags of concrete slammed into the back of us and totalled out our car? That is why we got the new one. So, the car thing has been exhausting this year.

Saturday-- Family trip to Amish Country! We live in Ohio and we go to Holmes County to all of our favorite stops. Now, Amish Country on a Saturday is an insane idea, but it was the only day we had. We'll skip a few regular stops, as they will be like standing in a soup kitchen line. We'll stop in at our favorite produce stand, though. We love the folks at Blessing Acres!

Sunday-- Church, a baby shower and if there's time, MORE CHURCH!

And now for you, thank you for offering books and treats!

  30. Starbucks and B&N...a woman after my own heart!

This weekend is going to be like most of my other weekends...I won't know until it gets here. In general, since I work full-time, my weekends are a mixture of playing catch-up with house stuff and squeezing in "play time", which is either reading or scrapbooking stuff. I say stuff because sometimes I just organize my supplies and play with paper.

I let my reading go for a while, but I've gotten back into it lately.

Cute blog, by the way. I love the header!

You can reach me at daisyaday [at] gmail [dot] com

    Thanks!

I don't REALLY have anything planned... but, on saturday, I love saturdays, I go to Craftwarehouse because they have FREE make and takes... and really... maybe I will scrap some... Because well. I haven't done that before, but hopefully its not terrible... I have been wanting to try that shift for some time now. AFTER THAT... I get off at 5p, i am thinking about visiting my friend at this fair that he is working at... Its his birthday on sunday. SO... thats about it. But, I am not sure how I am going to get to this fair... I dont know where it is for one... and for two, my truck is kinda a POS... if you catch my drift... But ah well.

  117. I've stuck in the house due to a horrible broncial infection. I'm about to climb the walls so a friend is coming over tomorrow. We'll eat lunch and watch a movie while the kids play.

Saturday nothing much except maybe work on my sister's birthday present.

Sunday I'll go to church if I feel okay. Since it's our 17th anniversary, we'll go out to eat or if I can't go, Dh will bring home take out. I bought a couple of really cool flavors of ice cream for dessert.

    Nothing exciting :)
